Sónia Morgado Tomás was born in 1973, in the city of Vila Franca de Xira. The arts in general have always been part of your life and without which you could not live. Music, dance, theater, literature and cinema have always aroused curiosity and creativity. The imaginary was increasingly extensive, but it was in painting and writing, which he developed early on, where he felt and happy.

The taste, in a child, for the discipline of drawing and the lyrics, indicated a career in the arts or in writing. However, life followed other ways. The fine arts have always been a passion, and in 2006 he took a 1 year course in initiation to painting techniques, the course culminated with a collective exhibition, at the Samora Correia Cultural Center, with works carried out by the students, in which he participated with the work "tango".
Education for art and in art is for Sónia Morgado Tomás as a social educator, a precious good in today's society. An increasingly demanding society, and in which social and cultural differences lead to injustices, evolution and in the condition of the human being.
Art, has the ability to create emotions, arouse creativity, sensitivity and develop the critical meaning that so lacking in modern societies, placing the failures and neglect of a too formal, formatted and corrosive educational system that annihilates creativity and the individuality.

It is through art that "wings" can be given to dreams and forming free, conscious, supportive, just, sensitive and emotionally aware of their performance in society.
