Elisabete Silva Guerreiro Isabel was born in Faro on May 3, 1968. She lived in Lisbon for 17 years and currently resides in Spain. From an early age, she showed interest in Fine Arts, pursuing Art and Design during Secondary Education. In 1992, she earned a degree in Visual Education from the Escola Superior de Educação de Beja, and in 1994, she enrolled in the Equipment Design course at the Faculty of Architecture in Lisbon. In 2019, she completed an online Footwear Design course at ESME Fashion School – Madrid.
Elisabete has been a Visual Education teacher for 30 years. She has authored EVT (Visual and Technological Education) textbooks for Constância - Santillana Publishing House. She is also an external trainer for the Aesthetic and Artistic Education Programme of the Directorate-General for Education (DGE).
Over the years, she has participated in several courses and workshops in drawing, painting, and sculpture with renowned Spanish artists, including Pablo Lanuza, Alberto Germán, Irene Cuadrado, Coque Bayan, Cecílio Chaves, Ana Sara Soberón, and Eduardo Millán. Since the late 1980s, she has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions in locations such as Madrid, Nerja (Galeria Gaudi), Córdoba (Sala Aires), Barcelona (Espacio 120 and Artéria), Algarve, Beja, Lisbon, Ayamonte, Seville (Antiquarium Museum Hall – Setas; Portuguese Consulate, Casa-Museu Fabíola, Fundación Valentín de Madariaga y Oya), South Korea, Armenia, and Turkey.
Recently, she exhibited at ARTEXPOALGARVE – Loulé (October 2022), Portimão Arena (February 2023), and Silves (2024). She also participated in DOWNTOWN CHIADO 2023, from February 4 to 10, 2023, at the Atelier Galeria Natália Gormicho in Lisbon. Additionally, Elisabete contributed illustrations for poetry books, including *Poetas de Roldán* – Seville, with the theme *Tavira*, *Tu, Vosotras y Ellas* by Poetas del Guadiana, and *Por mi, Mujer* – *Grito de Mujer* Anthology 2019 – Portugal Spain.
She created the poster images for the 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024 International Women’s Day celebrations for MDM in Faro.
Elisabete is a member of the International Art Association "PAS – Peace and Art Society," headquartered in Faro, and is also part of the Portuguese/Spanish painting groups "Luz de Mujer" and "Entre 2 Margens".
