Collection: Kevin Leonardo Costa Ruivo
Kevin Leonardo Costa Ruivo, a 23-year-old artist from Sorocaba, São Paulo, Brazil, began his artistic journey in school, like many, but delved deeper into art during his teenage years.
Self-taught, he spent hours in his room working on drawings, graffiti, and sculptures. After a period dedicated to caring for his grandmother until her passing, Kevin faced a setback when he was arrested for unauthorized graffiti in Sorocaba. However, an opportunity to paint at a hostel in Ubatuba reignited his passion for art, revealing a profound connection to painting.
This experience led him to travel along the Brazilian coast, where he embraced various artistic projects. Returning to Sorocaba, Kevin encountered a fellow artist who invited him to create a piece for the Frida Kahlo Museum in southern Brazil. This project, honoring the iconic Mexican artist, became a turning point as he completed A Lady Like Me, a work that affirmed his path in art.
Today, Kevin pursues his artistic career with confidence and a drive for innovation.
