Duda Breda's work delves into the poetics of constructing and performing masculinity, questioning ways of transgressing norms.

Through photography, collages, and the use of various materials, the artist reflects in his pieces the anxieties and afflictions of how the current gay man’s identity crisis affects him, both in the desire to perform heteronormative masculinity and in the pursuit of a classic virile ideal of beauty, where low body fat and high musculature imply the ideal fit of a strong, successful man in a capitalist-neoliberal society.
