Coleção: Irina Kurganskaya
Irina Kurganskaya (born Iryna Pidlisna in 1980 in Kharkiv, Ukraine) has been captivated by drawing and painting since childhood. She graduated with honours from the I. Repin Art School in Kharkiv and later refined her watercolour skills under the guidance of renowned artists such as Carrie Stuart Parks, Natalia Nesterova, and Shelley Prior.
Although she initially pursued a career in law, her passion for art never faded. Eventually, she returned to painting full-time, embracing her true calling. Now based in Portugal, Irina finds deep inspiration in the country’s rich culture, landscapes, and harmonious connection with nature.
Her artistic approach is multifaceted, blending realism with deeper narratives that invite reflection. Primarily working with watercolours, she also explores acrylics, creating thought-provoking yet visually captivating pieces. Over the years, Irina has participated in various art fairs in Ukraine and Portugal, further sharing her work with international audiences. Many of her paintings now reside in private collections worldwide, from the United States to Asia.
