Depth

Profundidade (Depth) by Maria Regina Mongiardim is a powerful abstract composition that explores the relationship between emotion, movement, and the hidden layers of human experience.

Through an expressive interplay of deep emerald greens, vibrant crimson, soft turquoise, and earthy tones, the artist creates a visually compelling landscape of colour and texture. Bold, gestural brushstrokes collide with delicate markings and intricate details, generating a dynamic tension between spontaneity and control.

At the heart of the composition, rich green forms emerge from overlapping layers of paint, suggesting organic shapes and natural formations. These elements contrast with the energetic reds and pinks surrounding them, creating a sense of movement and emotional intensity.

The painting invites viewers to look beyond its surface, discovering new forms, textures, and interpretations with each encounter. Its layered composition evokes the complexity of emotions, memories, and experiences that shape our inner worlds.

Rather than offering a fixed narrative, Profundidade encourages personal interpretation, transforming abstraction into an intimate visual experience.

With its bold colour palette, expressive textures, and striking contrasts, this contemporary artwork brings depth, energy, and sophistication to modern interiors.
