In this work, Tatiana Siopa distills the body into gesture, contour, and breath. A sheer skin-like membrane stretches gently across a rigid frame, holding the imprint of a form that is at once present and withdrawn. Two folds rise like memories of touch, soft and unspoken, while a single opening rests below—an aperture of becoming, a threshold, a wound, a voice.
The sculpture does not imitate the body; instead, it remembers it. It carries the echo of weight, heat, and intimacy, yet remains quiet, almost fragile in its stillness. Within this near-absence, the body becomes architecture: a place that shelters tenderness, vulnerability, desire, and silence.
The work invites the viewer to meet it slowly. To stand before a body not as something to be seen or claimed, but as a space to be felt and acknowledged. Here, the flesh is not spectacle. It is memory, surface, boundary, and opening. A reminder that identity is not fixed, but stretched—held—between what we show, what we hide, and what remains unsaid.
