Seen from deep inside an underwater cavern, shafts of light pour through an opening in the rock and fall across a calm blue sea. A sea turtle glides through the beams, surrounded by small schools of golden fish, while the textured cave walls frame the scene in soft blues and charcoal greys.
Under ultraviolet light the rock edges and light rays glow in electric blue, turning the cave into a radiant, almost otherworldly space. Large and immersive, Below the Surface invites a quiet moment of stillness and wonder.
Details: Angie Hickson · 2026 · Acrylic on canvas · 100x100 cm · UV-reactive
