Two betta fish meet in the open blue, their flowing fins unfurling like silk as they circle one another. Warm tangerine, gold and turquoise tones stand out vividly against a deep layered background of navy and cobalt, giving the scene a graceful, theatrical feel.
Under ultraviolet light the fish blaze in neon pink and violet against an electric-blue sea, revealing a second, more dramatic version of the encounter. The Dance captures a fleeting moment of rhythm, colour and connection.
Details: Angie Hickson · 2026 · Acrylic on canvas · 120x80 cm · UV-reactive
