A luminous portrait in which a woman's face emerges from a cascade of pink, coral and cobalt-blue blossoms, her single visible eye a vivid, arresting blue. A shimmering hummingbird hovers beside her, its iridescent wings echoing the jewel tones of the flowers that drift and scatter across the deep midnight-blue background.
Delicate stems, leaves and petals spill towards the lower edge of the canvas, giving the composition a sense of gentle movement and growth. Shine is a celebration of femininity, nature and light, radiant and quietly joyful.
Details: Angie Hickson · 2024 · Acrylic on canvas · 60x40 cm
